The system of Ma Gui Baguazhang has not been taught widely for very long, so we are still feeling our way with the organization. Li Baohua is the director and main teacher for the International Ma Gui Baguazhang Promotion Center. In 2004, Andrea Falk was put in charge of teaching in the West, but since 2012 Li is travelling and doing most of the teaching.
The teaching in the West has spread since Andrea started teaching, with more teachers becoming involved. From 2012 on, training groups are lead by a teacher affiliated directly with the international association, with no intervening branch association. Local training groups lead by assistant instructors may affiliate through a larger group lead by a teacher. For example, local groups that see Andrea twice a year are in an umbrella grouping under her training group.
Association membership from 2013 on is to the International Promotional Centre, which has an annual membership fee of $100.
