bagua sabre

The bagua sabre is a large sword with a slightly curved blade with one sharp edge. Standing on end, it should reach the solar plexus of the player. Use of the large sabre, or broadsword, helps to show the player's understanding of the basic principles of using footwork to stick to the opponent. It also develops wrist strength. It should be heavy enough to make the player use the power of the whole body to move it smoothly.

If you practice the lion changes well, the sabre will come easily. Just move as you would do in the lion changes, and the sabre takes care of itself.
